    What we do

A whole room, decorated before they get home

Room decoration is for the moment someone opens a door and finds the room transformed: a birthday morning, a proposal, an anniversary, a hotel room on a trip, a nursery before the baby comes home. Event Creation sets up the whole room while you keep them out of the way, then leaves before they get back.

Our room balloon decoration is listed on this website from $200 and covers floor and ceiling balloons for one room. Garlands, signs, marquee numbers and florals are added on top of that base.

We decorate homes, condos, hotel rooms, offices and party rooms across Toronto and the GTA.

    The hero moment

What goes into a decorated room

    Floor and ceiling balloons

Loose balloons on the floor and a helium or hung ceiling make the room feel full from the doorway. Colours are matched to the occasion.

A garland or a small arch

A garland over the bed, the sofa or the table gives the photos a focal point. A half arch works in a hotel room where nothing can be attached.

    Signs and personal details

A neon sign, a custom name balloon, foil letters spelling a message or a marquee number. This is the part people remember.

    Extras

Rose petals, candles (battery), a cake table, a floral arrangement or a small gift display, added when you want the room to feel styled rather than decorated.

    Logistics

Access, timing and keeping the secret

A room takes between one and two hours to decorate, depending on the size and the add-ons. We need the person out of the house or the hotel room for that window and a way in: a key, a friend at home, a concierge or the hotel front desk.

Hotels in downtown Toronto, Mississauga and Vaughan are used to this; we call ahead, confirm their decor rules and meet their timing. For condos, the concierge and the elevator are the two things to arrange.

We take photos of the finished room and send them to you before we leave, so you know exactly what they are about to walk into.

    Before you book

    Details to settle first

These keep the surprise a surprise.

    • Who lets us in, and when is the room empty?
    • Are there pets, children or neighbours who might give it away?
    • Is there an elevator, and can balloons go up in it?
    • For hotels, has the front desk agreed to decor in the room?
    • Which colours, names or messages should appear?
    • When should the room be cleared afterwards?

    Occasions

    Rooms we decorate most often

Birthday mornings for kids and adults, anniversaries, proposals and welcome home surprises are the usual requests.

A nursery or living room for a new baby celebration, a hotel room for a bachelorette weekend, or an office for a colleague’s retirement all work the same way.

If the room is a party room rather than a private room, the backdrops page covers larger setups.

    Questions

    Room decoration: frequently asked questions

Timing, access and what is included.

How much does room balloon decoration cost?

Our room balloon decoration is listed from $200 for floor and ceiling balloons in one room. A garland, a sign, marquee numbers or florals are added on top, and we confirm the total in writing.

How long does it take to decorate a room?

One to two hours for most rooms. Hotel rooms are usually quicker; a living room with a garland, a backdrop and a cake table takes longer.

Can you decorate a hotel room in Toronto?

Yes. We coordinate with the front desk for access and decor rules, set up while the guest is out and send you photos before we leave.

Can you set up while the person is at home?

Only if they are in another part of the house and will not hear us. For a true surprise, a two-hour window with the room empty works best.

    Do you clean up afterwards?

Where takedown is part of your listing, we return at the agreed time to remove balloons, frames and signs. For private homes many clients keep the balloons; we take the frames and stands.

Can I choose the colours and the message?

Yes. Send colours, a theme, names and a message and we build the room around them. Custom name balloons are $35.

    Do you decorate offices?

Yes. Workplace birthdays, retirements and promotions are common. We arrange access with reception and work before the start of the day or over lunch.

Is helium used in room decoration?

Both. Floor balloons are air-filled; ceiling balloons can be helium or hung. We avoid helium in rooms with ceiling fans running.

    Which areas do you cover?

Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and Oakville.

How far ahead should I book a room surprise?

A week or two is comfortable. Short notice is sometimes possible; call and we will tell you.
