    The occasion

The first thing they see should say they were missed

A welcome home is a moment at the door and a room behind it. The decor is timed to the arrival: balloons on the porch, a sign, a garland in the living room and the people waiting. Event Creation sets it up while they are on the way and is gone before the car pulls in.

We decorate welcome homes for new parents coming back from hospital, family returning from travel or study abroad, military and work deployments, long hospital stays and homecomings of every kind, at homes and condos across Toronto and the GTA. A balloon bouquet is listed on this website from $85, a 12 ft garland from $250 and room decoration from $200.

Signs can say anything: Welcome Home, the name, Baby’s Home, or a private joke.

    Timing

Setting up while they are on the way

Most welcome homes are timed to a flight, a discharge or a drive. We set up in the hour or two before and leave before the arrival; for a condo, the concierge lets us in and the porch bouquet goes outside the unit door.

For a surprise with family waiting, we finish the room first and the door last, so nothing is visible from the street until the right moment.

If the arrival time moves, call us; we adjust the window where the schedule allows.
