What we do
The first thing children queue for
Face painting works at the start of a party because it gives children something to do as they arrive and sends them into the room already in character. It works at festivals and family days because the line is the attraction.
Event Creation books face painters for parties and events across Toronto and the GTA. Face painting is listed on this website from $220 and is booked by the hour for the number of children expected.
Our painters use skin-safe, water-based paints and cosmetic glitter, bring their own table and design board, and clean brushes and sponges between children.
The experience
What a face painting booking looks like
Design board
A board of 15 to 20 designs the children choose from: tigers, butterflies, superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs, flowers and cheek art. Theme boards for themed parties.
Full faces and cheek art
Full-face designs take four to six minutes; cheek art takes two. For large crowds we offer cheek art to keep the line short.
Glitter and gems
Cosmetic glitter and stick-on gems for princess, mermaid and festival looks.
Adults welcome
At festivals and corporate family days, adults get painted too.
Setup
The painter brings a table, chairs, a mirror and lighting if needed, and needs about 6 x 6 ft of space in shade.

Venues
Face painting at home, in halls and outdoors
Home parties in Vaughan, Markham and North York need a corner with a table and good light. Halls and community centres in Scarborough and Mississauga have the room for a station near the entrance.
Outdoor parties and festivals need shade: a tent, a gazebo or a shaded patio. Paint behaves badly in direct sun and children do not sit still in it.
For festivals and corporate family days in Toronto we bring a second painter and a queue plan.

Face painting for birthdays, festivals and community events
Kids’ birthdays are the main booking, usually with a balloon twister at a second station. Baptisms and communions and first birthdays book a painter for the older children.
Corporate family days, grand openings and Halloween and holiday events book painters by the hour for crowds.
Diwali, Eid and Lunar New Year community events use themed designs.

How many children can a face painter paint in an hour?
About 12 to 15 with full designs, or more with cheek art. For bigger groups we add a painter.
Are the paints safe for children’s skin?
Yes. Water-based, skin-safe paints and cosmetic glitter, cleaned between children, and removed with soap and water.
Can children choose their own design?
Yes. The painter brings a design board and children pick from it; themed boards are available for themed parties.
Do you paint adults?
Yes, at festivals, family days and adult parties.
Does the painter need anything from me?
A table and two chairs if you have them, a corner with good light and, outdoors, shade.
How early does the painter arrive?
About 15 minutes before the booked start to set up.
Can face painting be outdoors?
Yes, in shade. Direct sun affects the paint and the children.
