What we do
Thirty seconds of effect, the photo of the night
The first dance, the entrance and the cake cutting are the three moments every photographer waits for. A low cloud of dry ice across the floor or a pair of cold spark fountains at the doors turns each of them into the picture guests share.
Event Creation operates dry ice and cold spark effects for events across Toronto and the GTA. The dry ice effect is listed on this website from $300 (regular price $400); cold spark fountains are quoted by number of units and firings. Our team sets up, times and runs the effect and clears it afterwards.
Both effects are low-lying or cold, leave no residue and are used indoors with venue approval.

Venue and safety
What we check before the effect
Venue approval comes first: we confirm the venue allows dry ice and cold spark, where the smoke detectors are and whether the fire panel needs to be isolated for a few minutes. Cold spark units are not pyrotechnics, but venues decide; we send the specification when asked.
Dry ice needs a dance floor with a clear edge and ventilation; the cloud dissipates within minutes. Sparks need clear space above and around each unit and a power outlet. Our operator runs both and nobody else touches the equipment.
Timing is agreed with the DJ or MC so the effect starts on the cue, not after it.

The dancing-on-clouds dry ice effect is listed on this website from $300 (regular price $400), operated by our team. Cold spark fountains are quoted by units and firings.
Is cold spark safe indoors?
Cold spark units produce a cool spark effect and are used indoors with venue approval; we confirm the venue’s policy and smoke detector setup before booking.
Will dry ice set off the smoke alarm?
Dry ice fog is low and dissipates quickly, but detectors vary; we confirm with the venue and arrange any isolation needed.
How long does the cloud last?
The cloud is dense for the length of a song and clears within a few minutes.
Do you run the effect yourselves?
Yes. Our operator sets up, times and runs the effect; nobody else handles the equipment.

Yes. Firings are quoted by number; entrance, first dance and cake are the usual three.

How far ahead should I book?
Three weeks, and earlier for Saturday weddings in summer.
