    The occasion

Teens want a party that looks good on camera and feels like theirs

A teen party is judged by its photos, and the teen is the judge. The design has to be the look they would choose: a black, white and chrome palette, a neon sign with a phrase, a shimmer wall, a 360 booth and a playlist they control. Nothing that reads as a kids’ party.

Event Creation designs 13th to 19th birthdays at homes, condo party rooms, halls and venues across Toronto and the GTA. A 12 ft garland is listed on this website from $250, a shimmer wall with balloons from $420, a 360 video booth from $400 and marquee numbers from $320.

One strong colour, hot pink, electric blue or lime, against black or white with matching balloons and lighting.

    Glow party

UV lighting, neon balloons and a DJ, for halls and basements that can be darkened.

    Venues

Teen parties at home, in party rooms and venues

A basement in Vaughan or Markham with the lights down takes a glow party and a DJ. Condo party rooms downtown and in North York take a backdrop, a 360 booth and a playlist on the room’s system, within the building’s noise rules.

Halls and rented venues in Mississauga, Scarborough and Richmond Hill give space for a dance floor, a DJ and a dessert table.

We check noise limits and the curfew before booking a DJ for a teen party.

    Entertainment

What teens actually use at a party

A 360 video booth is the single most used thing at a teen party. A DJ with the teen’s playlist and an MC for a contest or two keeps the room moving.

Cold spark for the cake entrance and a classic booth for prints finish it.

    Questions

Teen birthday parties: frequently asked questions

    Looks, venues and cost.

What are good teen birthday party ideas in Toronto?

A photo wall in a palette they chose, a 360 video booth, a DJ with their playlist, a dessert table and one surprise such as cold spark at the cake. Keep the theme in colours and props rather than characters.

How much does a teen party cost to decorate?

A garland is listed from $250, a shimmer wall with balloons from $420, marquee numbers from $320 and a 360 booth from $400. A full plan is quoted in writing.

Can you do a glow or UV party?

Yes, in a room that can be darkened, with UV lighting, neon balloons and a DJ.

Can the teen choose the design?

Yes. Send a screenshot of what they like and we design to it.

Can you book a DJ for a condo party room?

Yes, within the building’s noise rules and curfew, which we confirm first.

Is a 360 booth suitable for teens?

It is the most used thing at a teen party. It needs about 10 x 10 ft of space.

Can you do a red carpet entrance?

Yes. A carpet, stanchions, a backdrop and marquee letters at the door.

    How long does setup take?

About 60 to 90 minutes for decor; the booth and DJ set up an hour before guests.

    Which areas do you serve?

Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and Oakville.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to four weeks; longer when a DJ and a venue are involved.
