Guests spend the evening looking at two things: the stage, where the awards and speeches happen, and the table in front of them. The entrance sets the first impression and the red carpet makes the arrival photos. The decor is designed in that order.
Event Creation designs galas, award ceremonies, black-tie dinners and industry nights at hotels, event venues and halls across Toronto and the GTA. Draping and lighting
Fabric draping and uplighting in the event’s colours, coordinated with the AV company.

Venues
Hotel ballrooms, event venues and halls
Hotel ballrooms in downtown Toronto and the airport corridor have the ceiling height for tall centrepieces and the load-in for a full stage design; we work within their union and dock rules. Event venues in Liberty Village and the Distillery District take draping and lighting well.
Halls in Vaughan, Mississauga and Markham host association and community galas with a permanent stage we design to.
Install usually runs the afternoon of the event; strike follows the venue’s schedule.

From brief to strike

Brief
Tell us the event, date, venue, headcount, brand guidelines and the objective: launch, celebrate, thank, raise, sell or inform.

Concept
A written concept with the branded hero piece, the guest flow, the photo moment, entertainment and a starting price per element.
- 03
Approval
You approve the concept and the quote; we hold the date and coordinate with the venue, AV and catering.
- 04
Install
Our team installs within the venue’s window, checks every sightline and brand element and hands over before doors open.
- 05
Strike
We remove everything at the agreed time and return the space as we found it.

What we need for the proposal
Send these with the brief and we can scope it in one reply.
- Date, venue, headcount and the run of show.
- Brand guidelines: logo files, colours and any rules about how the brand appears.
- The objective and who the guests are: staff, clients, press, public.
- Load-in and strike windows, loading dock, elevator and power.
- AV and catering partners we should coordinate with.
- Whether photos and video will be taken, and from where.
