The brief
An opening has to be visible from the street and photogenic at the door
A grand opening works on two levels: passers-by see balloons and signage and come in, and the ribbon cutting photo goes to the local paper, the BIA newsletter and the business’s own channels. The decor serves both: columns and an arch at the door, a ribbon and oversized scissors, a branded backdrop inside.
Event Creation decorates grand openings for stores, clinics, restaurants, gyms, salons, offices and franchises across Toronto and the GTA. A 12 ft balloon garland is listed on this website from $250, a circle arch with balloons from $280, a balloon wall from $380 and bouquets from $85; columns, the ribbon cutting setup and signage are quoted as one design.
We install before opening and can leave the exterior pieces up for the opening weekend.

Locations
Storefronts, plazas, malls and offices
Street-front stores in Toronto and North York take an arch and columns on the sidewalk, within the city’s rules for the right of way. Plaza units in Scarborough, Mississauga, Vaughan and Markham take columns at the door and a wall inside. Malls have their own rules for exterior and interior decor, which we handle with the property.
Clinics and offices usually keep the decor inside with a ribbon cutting at the door.
Exterior pieces are air-filled, weighted and chosen to handle sun and wind for the day or the weekend.
