Floral arch at a Toronto wedding
The arch is the frame for the most photographed moment of the day

What we do

The arch is the frame for the most photographed moment of the day

At a wedding, the arch stands behind the couple for the ceremony and behind every guest for photos afterwards. At an engagement party or a shower it is the backdrop; at a corporate event it frames the entrance or the stage. It is the piece that sets the standard for everything else in the room.

Event Creation designs and installs flower arches across Toronto and the GTA. Fresh florals for weddings and evening events, silk florals for daytime and outdoor events, and dried stems for neutral, boho palettes. We bring the frame, the mechanics and the flowers, and we remove everything afterwards.

Arches are quoted as one design by frame, size, flower variety and coverage. Our artificial flower decoration, which covers a full silk arch or wall installation, is listed on this website from $950; fresh florals are priced by season and quantity.

Arch shapes and how they read in photos

The hero moment

Arch shapes and how they read in photos

Round arch

A circle frame with flowers clustered at one or two points and greenery trailing. The current favourite for ceremonies and engagement photos because it frames two people cleanly.

Square and rectangular arch

A straight frame with flowers along the top and down one or both sides. Reads as formal and suits ballrooms and corporate entrances.

Arbour and triangle

A wooden arbour or a triangle frame for garden, barn and outdoor ceremonies. Takes heavier greenery well.

Deconstructed arch

Two or three floral clusters on the ground and at height with open space between, so the couple and the view stay visible. Popular for lakeside and rooftop ceremonies.

Half arch

Flowers up one side and over the top, leaving the other side open. Costs less than a full arch and photographs beautifully from an angle.

Choosing the flowers for your arch

Fresh, silk or dried

Choosing the flowers for your arch

Fresh flowers are the right choice for a wedding ceremony and reception: roses, hydrangea, peonies in season, orchids, lisianthus and eucalyptus or ruscus greenery. They are installed in water sources as close to the start as the venue allows and look their best for the day.

Silk florals are the choice for daytime events, outdoor heat, long events and anyone who wants to keep the arch afterwards. Quality silk photographs the same as fresh at normal distance.

Dried and preserved stems need no water, handle wind and suit neutral palettes. Many of our arches mix dried greenery with fresh focal flowers to keep the cost sensible without losing the look.

Arches for weddings, engagements, showers and corporate events

Occasions

Arches for weddings, engagements, showers and corporate events

Weddings are the main occasion, and the arch usually moves from the ceremony to the reception. Engagement parties and proposals use a round arch as the photo backdrop.

Bridal showers and baby showers take a half arch over the gift table. Mehndi and pre-wedding events use marigold, rose and jasmine tones.

Corporate events, galas and product launches use a square arch at the entrance or behind the stage in brand colours.

Questions

Flower arches: frequently asked questions

Cost, fresh versus silk, and logistics.

How much does a flower arch cost in Toronto?

It depends on the frame, the size and the flowers. Our artificial flower decoration listing, which covers a full silk installation, starts from $950; fresh floral arches are priced by season, variety and coverage. Every arch is quoted as one design in writing.

Where can I rent a flower arch in Toronto?

Event Creation designs, delivers and installs flower arches across Toronto and the GTA, and removes them afterwards. The quote covers the frame, the flowers and the labour.

Is it cheaper to make my own flower arch?

A small silk arch can be a weekend project. A full-size arch that stands straight outdoors, survives a ceremony and photographs well takes a frame, mechanics and a few hours on site, which is what you are booking.

How many flowers do I need for a flower arch?

A half arch uses a few dozen stems and greenery; a full round arch uses considerably more. We size the flower count to the coverage you want and show it in the quote.

What is an arch of flowers called?

A floral arch or wedding arch; a wooden one is an arbour and a round one is often called a moon gate or circle arch.

Fresh or artificial flowers for the arch?

Fresh for weddings and evening events; silk or dried for daytime, outdoor heat and long events. Many arches combine dried greenery with fresh focal flowers.

Can the arch move from the ceremony to the reception?

Yes. We plan the move with the venue so the arch is behind the head table or the cake by the time guests sit down.

Can the arch go outdoors?

Yes, with weighted bases and flowers chosen for sun and wind. We ask about shade and a backup indoor spot.

Which areas do you serve?

Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and Oakville.

How far ahead should I book a wedding arch?

Two to three months in peak season so flowers can be ordered; silk and dried arches can be booked on shorter notice.
