What we do
Outdoors in Toronto means a tent and a plan
A backyard is the best venue in the city from June to September, and the least predictable. A tent gives the party shade at two o’clock, cover if a shower passes and a ceiling to hang decor from. Event Creation supplies tents and canopies with the decor, builds balloon and floral pieces that hold up outside and sets the seating, lighting and tables under the roof.
We arrange frame tents, pop-up canopies, walls, lighting and outdoor seating for events across Toronto and the GTA. Tents are quoted with the order by size, walls and ground; outdoor decor is designed for the conditions of the day.
Every outdoor booking comes with a weather conversation the week before and a backup plan.

Site and weather
What we check before an outdoor event
Ground: grass takes stakes, pavement and decks take weights. Access: gate width and the path from the street. Power: an outdoor outlet for lights, the bouncy castle blower or marquee numbers. Space: the tent footprint plus room to walk around it. Neighbours and bylaws: noise times and anything the city or a park requires for a permit.
Balloons outdoors are weighted, double-stuffed where colours matter and kept out of direct afternoon sun where possible; latex fades and pops in heat, so dark colours and shade are planned together. Fresh florals are placed last and misted.
If the forecast turns, we move the setup under the tent or indoors, or reschedule; we talk the week before so there are no surprises on the day.

How much is tent rental in Toronto?
Tents are quoted with the order by size, walls, ground and distance; send the guest count and a photo of the space and we size it.
What size tent do I need?
A 20 by 20 frame tent seats about 32 at rounds or 40 at rectangles; standing receptions fit more. We size it to your count and layout.
Can a tent go on a deck or driveway?
Yes. On pavement and decks the tent is weighted instead of staked.
Do balloons last outdoors?
Yes, with weighting, shade planning and colour choices for heat; dark latex in direct afternoon sun is avoided.
What if it rains?
Walls go on the tent, decor moves under cover or indoors, or we reschedule; we talk the week before.
Do you provide lighting?
Yes. String lights, lanterns and uplighting under the tent.
Do I need a permit?
Private backyards usually do not; parks and public spaces do. We tell you what the site requires when you book.
Can you set up in a park?
Yes, with the permit the city requires and vehicle access for delivery.
Which areas do you serve?
Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and Oakville.
How far ahead should I book?
Three to four weeks for summer weekends.
