    What this covers

Event decoration in North York, from our own neighbourhood

If you are planning event decoration in North York, you are booking with a team whose vehicles leave from the same part of the city. We are at 126 Willowdale Ave, a short drive from Yonge Street and Highway 401, and most North York addresses are a short trip from there. That is the practical difference this page is about: shorter travel leaves more room in the schedule, and more room in the schedule makes awkward access windows, early starts and same-week requests easier to fit.

What we do here is the same work we do across Toronto and the GTA. We design one photo moment for the room, usually a balloon decoration piece, a flower wall or a backdrop, and build the rest of the setup around it: table pieces, marquee numbers, an entrance, a photo booth or entertainment if the occasion calls for it. Everything is delivered, installed and collected by our own team, and we can bring tables, chairs, linens and tents so one supplier handles the whole setup.

The rooms North York events actually happen in

Condo party rooms. The Yonge Street corridor between Sheppard and Finch is lined with condominium towers, and their party rooms are a common place for birthdays, showers and engagement parties. They have three things in common: a booking window set by property management, a service elevator that has to be reserved separately, and ceilings that are lower than a banquet hall. Garlands, balloon walls and backdrops suit these rooms well. Tall columns and large arches usually do not, so we measure before we design.

Homes and backyards. Detached homes in Bayview Village, York Mills, Willowdale West and Don Mills give more space for outdoor setups, inflatables and garden photo areas. The limits are different: gate width, a level spot for a bounce house, an outdoor outlet within reach of a blower, and a weather plan for anything outside between October and May.

Banquet halls, restaurants and hotels. Larger birthdays, engagements and anniversaries move into halls and private dining rooms, and hotels near the 401 host a lot of family celebrations. These venues have the firmest vendor rules: a named contact, fixed load-in times and rules about what may touch the walls. We ask for those rules at the quote stage. A hotel room surprise, such as a “Bride to be” or birthday room for one night, is a smaller job we also take on, with balloons that stay inside the room and are easy to take down.

Offices and lobbies. North York Centre has a dense cluster of office towers, and corporate work here is usually a lobby, a boardroom or a floor that has to look finished before staff arrive. See corporate events for how we plan those.

    Close to home

What being nearby changes for your booking

Being close to most North York addresses does not change the design work, but it does change three practical things.

The first is access windows. Condo buildings often give vendors one hour, sometimes less, between the previous booking and yours. A crew that is ten or fifteen minutes away can be ready at the loading door when the window opens, and that is the difference between a rushed install and a careful one.

The second is short notice. We cannot promise same-day decoration, because it depends on whether the pieces and a crew are free that day. When they are, a nearby address is the easiest one to fit in. Our guide to last-minute decoration in Toronto explains what is realistic at short notice and what is not.

The third is takedown. Many party rooms and halls want the room cleared the same evening. Because the trip back is short, a late collection is easier to agree to here than at the edges of the GTA. Tell us the time the room must be empty and we will plan the collection around it.

    Occasions

Corporate events, photo booths and weddings in North York

Three kinds of booking come up often enough here to deserve their own notes.

    Corporate events

For offices along Yonge Street and near the 401, we decorate holiday parties, client appreciation events, product launches and grand openings. Corporate work runs on the building’s rules. Vendor paperwork, freight elevator bookings and after-hours access are common requirements in office towers, so we ask about them at the start. Our corporate event planning page covers planning, decor, AV and staffing, and the corporate holiday parties page covers the season that is starting now.

    Photo booths

A classic booth needs roughly 8 x 8 ft of floor and an outlet, which most party rooms can give. A 360 platform needs a clear circle of about 10 x 10 ft and a ceiling of at least eight feet, so in a smaller condo party room the classic or mirror booth is often the better fit. Every booth comes with an attendant. Start with photo booth rental to compare the booths, or the 360 video booth page if you already know you want one.

    Weddings and planning

We plan and coordinate weddings as well as decorating them. For a North York wedding that might mean the ceremony backdrop and reception decor only, or event planning with vendor coordination and a day-of coordinator. The wedding page shows how we approach each.

    How it works

Booking with us, from first message to takedown

Most bookings follow the same four stages. The details change with the room.

    Tell us the basics

The occasion, the date, the address or venue, a rough guest count and any colours or photos you like. For a condo, include the building’s vendor rules if you have them.

    Get one clear direction

We come back with a hero piece, the decoration around it and the starting prices that apply, rather than a long catalogue to sort through.

    Settle the logistics

Access time, elevator or loading door, ceiling height, power, where guests stand for photos and when the room must be clear. Most problems are prevented here.

    Setup and takedown

Our team installs inside the agreed window, checks the photo positions and comes back at the agreed time to collect every rented piece.

    Before you book

What to ask your building or venue first

A short call with property management or your venue saves a redesign later. Ask:

    • What time can vendors arrive, and is the room booked earlier that day.
    • Does the service elevator need a separate booking, and for how long.
    • What is the ceiling height in the room itself.
    • Are helium balloons, confetti or effects such as dry ice allowed.
    • Does the building ask vendors for any paperwork before they arrive.
    • Where can a vehicle park during load-in and collection.
    • What time must the room be empty and clean.

    Where we go

North York neighbourhoods we decorate in

We travel to every part of North York, including Willowdale, North York Centre, Bayview Village, York Mills, Don Mills, Newtonbrook, Bathurst Manor, Lansing, Armour Heights, Downsview, Parkwoods and the areas around Yorkdale and Fairview Mall. From North York we also go north into Richmond Hill and Aurora, east to Scarborough and west to Oakville, along with the rest of Toronto and the GTA.

Elsewhere in Toronto, we have decorated events at Casa Loma, Bisha Hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, the Chelsea Hotel, Hotel X Toronto and Markland Wood Golf Club. See all the venues we've decorated.

We are available seven days a week from 9 am to 9 pm, and we reply to form inquiries within 24 hours. If you are comparing suppliers, ask each one who will be on site, whether takedown is included or billed separately, and what happens if your building changes the access time the week before. Those answers tell you more than a price list does.

    Questions

Event Decoration in North York: Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about booking event decoration and party rentals in North York.

Are you based in North York?

Yes. Our address is 126 Willowdale Ave, #1, in the Willowdale area of North York, which is part of the City of Toronto. Our team delivers, installs and collects everything from there, so most North York addresses are a short drive away.

Do you decorate condo party rooms in North York?

Yes, often. Send us the building’s vendor rules if you have them. Most buildings need the service elevator booked separately, give a fixed access window and have lower ceilings than a hall, so we design pieces such as garlands, balloon walls and backdrops that fit those rooms.

How much does event decoration cost in North York?

Website-listed starting prices include a balloon bouquet from $85, a 12 ft balloon garland from $250, a balloon wall backdrop from $380 and a marquee number with balloons from $320. Photo booths start at $400 for a 360 booth and $410 for a classic booth for two hours. The final price depends on the room, timing, size and customization.

Can you decorate at short notice or on the same day?

Sometimes. It depends on whether the pieces and a crew are free that day, so we cannot promise it. Because North York is close to our address, a short-notice booking here is easier to fit than one at the edge of the GTA. Call us with the date and address and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Do you deliver balloons in North York?

Yes. Balloon bouquets are listed from $85 with delivery from $35, and larger pieces such as garlands, arches and walls include installation by our team. Helium balloons are best delivered close to the event, so we agree a delivery time with you.

Can you set up a hotel room surprise?

Yes. Hotel room decoration for a birthday, an anniversary or a “Bride to be” night is a job we take on. Confirm with the hotel that balloons are allowed in the room and when we can access it, and we will set up and leave the room ready.

Do you rent tables, chairs and tents in North York?

Yes. Tables, chairs and linens, tents and outdoor setup, a dance floor and staging can be booked with the decor and are delivered and set by our team. Catering comes from a separate supplier, and we are glad to work alongside one.

Do you rent bouncy castles for backyard parties?

Yes. Inflatables listed on this website start at $70 for a small bounce house, with a giant slide bouncer from $100 and a castle with a ball pit from $200. We need a level surface, the gate width and an outlet within reach of the blower before we confirm.

Do you provide photo booths for North York events?

Yes. We offer a 360 video booth, a classic print booth and a mirror booth, each with an attendant. A 360 booth needs a clear circle of about 10 x 10 ft, a ceiling of at least eight feet and an outlet; a classic booth needs roughly 8 x 8 ft, so it often suits a smaller party room better.

Do you plan corporate events for offices in North York?

Yes. We plan and decorate holiday parties, appreciation events, launches and grand openings for offices in North York Centre and across Toronto, including decor, AV, staffing and venue sourcing. Tell us at the start what the building asks of vendors, such as paperwork, freight elevator bookings and after-hours access.

Do you plan weddings, or only decorate them?

Both. We offer full planning, day-of coordination and vendor coordination as well as ceremony and reception decor. You can book decor only, or ask us to coordinate the day.

Can we hold a party in a North York park?

Many City of Toronto parks need a permit for organised events, picnic sites or tents, and some have rules on generators, amplified sound and staking into the ground. Check with the City before you settle on a park, then send us the permit conditions and we will design within them.

How far in advance should I book?

For Saturdays from November to the new year and through the spring, book as early as you can, since those dates fill first. Weekday and Sunday dates are usually easier. Send us the date and we will confirm what is free.

Do you take everything down after the event?

Yes. We come back at the agreed time to collect every rented piece. Many party rooms and halls want the room clear the same night, and the short trip from our address makes a late collection easier to arrange in North York.

Can you match our colours or a brand colour?

Usually, for balloon work. Send a photo of a fabric, an invitation or the brand guide rather than a colour name, since names vary between suppliers. For an exact brand colour, tell us at the quote stage so we can say honestly how close the materials can get.
